Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner, Green Tea, 1867-7At first glance, you probably notice the Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner is rather bulky. Well, you’re right! We find that it weighs quite a bit more as opposed to other models.

Luckily, the head can pivots up to 360 degrees, so maneuvering is fairly easy in spite of the bulk.

The unit also comes with a cord wrap to keep things tidy and organized. You know with so many appliances in your house, it’s easy to get messed up with stuff.

This article is going to be a thorough review of the Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner.

Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner An A Glance

What We Like

  • Awesomely quiet
  • Works well for regular ceramic tiles
  • Easy to clean up
  • Two washable microfiber cleaning pads and water filter included

What We Don’t Like

  • Quite heavy
  • Short handle and cord
  • Steam jet only comes out in the middle of the head

Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner, Green Tea, 1867-7 ReviewWith height measured at 45.25 inch, you can easily tell that Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner is rather short for most people in general. (Although this may be a “pro” for those of us who are vertically challenged!) But you will have to bend over as you glide it across your floor.

On top of that, the unit is surprisingly heavier than competitive steam mops as we mentioned at the start. For long term use, it’s not impossible for you to experience some back trouble.

The plus side is when you do find a persistent stain, this steam mop should be able to handle it in a single pass; no need to apply additional pressure.

We don’t think that Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner is an exceptional performer in terms of ease of use. In fact, we think that it’s a bit inferior to other options in some aspects. You can find more options in our steam mops resource.

The water reservoir, for example, can only contain a small amount of water that will evaporate less than 15 minutes. So, you really have 2 options here. You can either you clean your house fast or you can to refill it frequently.

Which, by the way, refilling this steam mop isn’t a ton of fun either! The fact that it also packs quite a bit of weight also makes it not ideal if you’re type of person who isn’t really blessed with upper body strength.

Last, but certainly not least, the cord in unbelievably short. This could work well if you have a small space. And cleaning up this unit after use is a piece of cake since it comes with cord wrap. But most of us will end up wishing the cord were longer.

Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner works great for regular ceramic tile. It also works great for any hardwood floor as well, but there is a caveat.

If you find a stain that persists after a single pass, Bissell recommends that you hold the steam mop on it for 15 seconds. If you hold it in place longer than that you risk damaging your wood floor.

The thing that we like the most about it is that it’s whisper quiet. Compared to other steam mops we have used, this is the one that makes the least noise.

Time To Make Your Decision

We love it when it comes to cleaning ceramic tiles as it doesn’t leave the floor wet and streaky. Moreover, it’s very quiet. However, to say that this product is perfect just wouldn’t be true due to the number of shortcomings.

While many will end up finding this suits their needs perfectly, we give this Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner 3.5 out of 5 stars.
